We are one yaaaay…..
It seems just like yesterday when I took the bold step to start penning down my stories (no matter how ridiculous they seem). I remember the excitement and rush of adrenaline I felt when I hit the publish button of my first blog post.
About 17 blog posts later (I know I have not been so consistent, please forgive me) and with a growing readership, Beauty and Books is still going strong!
This is to specially thank all my readers, fans and supporters for their constant inspiration and support and for bearing with my inconsistency. A big “thank you” goes out to my volunteer bloggers, whose generous contributions have made the past one year possible.
It’s just one year, but it is a big deal to me because some quit before they hit that one year mark. I am really proud of the progress so far, so I am going to take a minute to take stock and celebrate.
When I started out, I didn’t really know what to expect. All I knew was that I wanted to always write something that people will find informative or make them feel better(through my random posts and experiences) and connect with.
I have enjoyed every minute and the opportunity to pour out my heart to you guys and you have all made it worth it with your comments and contributions.
Your kind comments make it all worthwhile and keep the blog going.
I haven’t reached my goal yet, but I am definite that I am steadily charting the course.
This year, we are taking it up a notch! To create room for diversity and more content for you , I would intensify the “Guest Blogging” activities – where writers send in their posts on topics on Natural Hair, Beauty, Lifestyle, Marriage, Relationships, Book Reviews etc.
Do you like to write? Do you have a wealth of wisdom you will like to share with readers? Please send an email to email@example.com, telling us a bit about yourself and specifying what category you would like to write on.
By the way, it was my 2nd Hairnniversary yesterday too! Attaining milestones and achieving goals mode!
To celebrate, I would be doing a giveaway for my consistent readers.
Which has been your best post so far and why?
How many people did I mention in my first post ever?
