Quarantined? Yes…
Bored? Not a chance!

As parties, concerts, and other events are postponed, football matches and other sporting events are canceled, schools are closed and tourist hot spots are on shut down, it has been recommended that we should try to practice self-isolation even when we show no sign of illness.
This is one of the ways to manage the spread of this global pandemic, however, it may be a tough call. How?

For some of us that like to stay home naturally, this may not really seem strange, but for the social butterflies and the lives of the parties amongst us, these are really trying times ππ
Staying holed up at home all day can be extremely annoying and frustrating, but you know what? It doesn’t have to be!

So instead of watching TV which will be full of Corona Virus news which may upset you more, here are five fun ways to make the most out of your self -isolation and social distancing.
Self-Isolation doesn’t have to be boring. You can make the most of it!

READ
Hmmm….. The good old book can never be out of fashion.
This is the time to go through your bookshelf for that book you bought in 2016 but haven’t opened at all.
Read Comics, Read Romance, Read Chic Flick, Read Animated Series, Read anything that makes you happy and takes your mind off the gloomy situation, just READ!
Baking isn’t only fun, it’s also therapeutic.

BAKE
Now you’ve found the perfect book, why not pair it with the perfect snack?
Chocolate chips cookie, a glass of milk/wine/juice, a comfortable bed, and your book- how does that sound? Bliss, Pure Bliss!
Dust your baking pans, ovens and get to work. Who knows, you may just come up with a winning recipe that you can launch your baking business with? Win-Win π

DIY
You have a smart device, and you have internet access, right?
Head over to YouTube to learn how to make those cute little gift boxes, face masks, and other craft ideas you’ve always nurtured.
P.S: Do what you have supplies for right in your home and trust me, there is a lot you can do with what you have!
P.S.S: Tread with caution on the DIYS especially when it has to do with your skin or electricity…abeg o

UP YOUR SKINCARE GAME
Face masks, Scrubs, Serums, Toners, Moisturisers, you name it!
Now is the perfect time to treat yourself to that 10-step skincare routine you won’t have time for during a normal workweek.

PLAY VIRTUAL GAMES
You may not be able to see your friends, but who says you can’t still hang out together?
Play virtual games like scrabble, Clash of Clans, Call of Duty, Fortnite, 8ball and many more with your friends and family members.
Okkaaayyy… I decided to add extra activity. This may not sound fun but it’s important ππ

RE-ASSES YOUR GOALS
In the midst of the whole Corona Virus epidemic, ask yourself:
βWhat goals did I set for myself at the start of the year?
Which of them have I achieved?
Where am I having difficulties?
What can I do to get better?β
In all, now isn’t the time to get unnecessarily worked up. I saw a video of some people in quarantine singing Rihannaβs B***h Better have my money and it got me smiling ππ
Relax, take deep breathes, eat right, stay hydrated and get lots of sleep.
Remember that handwashing is very important. Wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and when you have no access to water, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Should you feel some sort of way, put a call through to your medical practitioners and let them take it from there.
Stay safe guys!
I have been playing games with my friends and promising myself that I will start reading a book. Well, since Iβm done with my biggest task yet. I think I will.

Hehe! I’ve surprised myself with the number of books I’ve finished during this period. ‘Me that doesn’t like reading like that before’
Thanks for sharing! I’ll be signing up for some online games soon. That seems like another good way to burn time.
Great list. I find that I’m very lethargic this period and my productivity is at an all time low but I’ll give some of the non mental tasks a try. Maybe it might get me out of my funk.
Yes.. That should do the trick. Do the fun things and don’t feel bad if you are not as productive as you want.
Iβve been reading a lot now, and upping my cooking skills ππ Also, playing virtual games, itβs been fun.
